Does anyone have a Marin Pine Mountain in Scotland?

Hi Folks,

my partner is looking at buying a Marin Pine Mountain in the near future as a bikepacking/easy trails hardtail. She’s between sizes; does anyone in central(ish) Scotland have a small or medium sized one that they would be willing to let her sit on/pedal around a car park? We’re in Callander but willing to have an excuse to head further north or south.
Any real world/long term reviews would also be appreciated.
cheers!

Does Roots Cycles have any in stock you could throw a leg over? Based in Doune - a great wee shop that does tend to do their best to look after you as a customer.

If you're happy to hold off, they'll likely be at the Tweedlove demo day in the summer

I think I know of one in Callander in Large - let me enquire.

And Roots no longer do Marin... 🙁

Yeah, but its a 1992 model (frame) hanging up in my attic but I guess that's not much use

Oops, I've obviously been in the shop recently enough to clock they no longer did Marin!

Pedals in Edinburgh might do Marin still?

He has a few cracking deals to tempt people from old stock.
But no new ones coming in.

How tall is she?

I have about a 2018/19 model in medium. I'm 5,7

I'm in middle England though.

We (Pedals) don't do Marin any more - but Soul Cycles just round the corner from us do 👍

Looks like we have taken it off the site, likely to stop it selling while it was on eBay perhaps (I'm not in charge of that bit!)

But these are the pictures we used for the listing:

They are actually really nice frames, not super heavy for something that aggressive. It would need lighter tyres though, DD Assegais front and rear 😬

Very different to the pine mountain. The bidding was started at £999, and I wouldn't say we were happy to let it go for that... But you know, we need the space!

Lovely looking bike but a bit too slack for her needs.
thanks for the above replies all; I’ll give soul cycles a shout. If not we’ll swing by mtbmonster on our next trip down south 👍
