Using a half-link chain will just go narrow narrow narrow
You can make it work with a custom NW ring but things start to get silly. We discussed it recently here http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/daft-thick-thin-chain-ring-question
I thought half links were only really used in singlespeeds, in which case you shouldn't need a NW chainring anyway.
A custom ring for a half-link chain would be a piece of piss to make. In fact, there are loads of companies been doing it for years.
You need a narrow narrow ring. Middleburn used to do them
Thanks all. Want to keep my Oval ring (NW) on my SS with sliding dropouts. Thought a half-link chain might help shorten the chain stays as currently stretched to longest to accommodate normal chain.
