Just a quick heads up. This ad is listed as needs a service but the shock actually needs a lot more than just a service. I know as i had previously bought it and sent it off to TF to be told it needs £216 spent on it. Ive now returned it and am waiting for my refund to clear.

To be fair its listed as

For parts or not working
“Will need a service”

Quite clear to me if I was bidding

Yep, I'd have no issue with that as a listing if I was buying. My expectation when it's for parts is that it COULD be uneconomical to fix.

Just think its dishonest as he well knows that it requires more than a service. If he thought all it needed was a service then fair enough but he's aware that it needs a service plus an extra £100 spending to replace other parts which wont be covered by the service. As far as im concerned if you know theres issues then it should be mentioned in the ad.

What they said it does not need a service

it needs repairing and a service and the seller knows this

Yes TF said it needs repairing and a service. The seller is aware of this as i sent him the paperwork from tf when i returned it to him. I also told him in an email. It needs a new inner air can, and 2 other fairly major (cant remember off the top of my head) components which were not included in the service. So £105 for a service plus another £100 ish to replace the other parts.

I think I've read this topic from Jake on a different forum and sure he's giving us a good headsup.

If those too cynical to read for what it is and go ahead and buy said shock then good for you for wasting more money than you can get them for new someplaces.

Yes, i put in on the chat forum. One guy said he'd been looking at bidding on it and was glad he had seen the post and hadnt wasted his money. Just thought id put it on here too as i thought more people may see it. If anyone sees this and wants to bid on it at least they will know how much money they will actually have to spend on it. £216 including return postage.
