Thanks Drack.
Any clue about what was happening that a simple riding bikes picture thread needed approval?

Managed to dodge the rain again today.
Spin round at GT with an Olympian and a guy that works in a brewery.
All bases covered there I think. 😁

Only one pic as we were having to much fun to stop for pics.

First day of our holiday in Scotland after a horrendous drive up yesterday.
Walked the dog this morning then set of this afternoon to ride in the trails above Banchory.
Had a great afternoon exploring and going back up for seconds

Bit of a cheat, but I rode on Wednesday (Dorchester), Thursday (Purbecks) and Friday (Ridgeway between Dorchester and Weymouth). However this pic is from Wednesday when we came across a bouncy castle park at Poundbury, about 15-16 of them with hundreds of kids playing on them.

Ah, **** it. Bloody site is playing up. I sometimes wonder if it's worthwhile bothering with it.

I went on a ride. I took some photos. STW doesn't want me to let you see them. Email me and I'll post out some paper and crayons and you can make your own.

Lovely and dry on Sat at QECP in Hampshire, quite surprising considering the berms were all badly flooded and the Blue route had a stream running down it week ago and even the entrance to the park was flooded

https://flic.kr/p/2mhjB3D

Even found time Sat afternoon to get out on the BMX

https://flic.kr/p/2mhjB4k

Then usual serivce resumed on Sunday, as soon as i got near Butser Hill it became misty and rain

https://flic.kr/p/2mhjB4F

Even the view over Ashford Hangers nature reserve was overcast

Was going for a nice 45 mile relaxed bimble with a couple of buddy’s, had a slow tumble & put 9 stitches in my knee. 10 days minimum off the bike - time to do those maintenance jobs🤔

Can't dodge the rain in southwest Tasmania, so just go with it.
The Bird river track to the remains of Pillinger on Macquarie harbour are as far you can ride down here.

No much in the way of rain here, took the Rail up onto Rhinns of kells on Saturday, planned an out and back onto Meaul or bow, but was having so much fun I just kept going over Carlin's cairn, the descended off Corserine, which was a cracker...

Then a wee wander up Ben Ledi with the boss on Sunday. Cracking.

Went out for a seven miler with Poorly Boy #2 on the MacRide after Poorly Boy #1 didn't fancy it after all. Stuffed our faces with bilberries.

then Poorly Boy #1 felt left out so I went out for 12 miler with him. More bilberries, pub for a pint, crisps, apple juice, and home via the playground with the wobbly bridge and more bilberries.

We went over there.

Birthday ride in the Yat. Rode some new trails, all of which were great. Then drank quite a lot of beer which was also great 🙂

And on my actual birthday (today), this arrived in the post 🙂

We had another afternoon in the forest up above Banchory. The rain last night had dampened the dust down however the midges were out in force.
The rock drop onto the wood felt a lot steeper than it looks

Missed a few of these, but I’ve mostly been exploring lanes and tracks on the north Aberdeenshire coast on the gravel thing over the last few weeks. So it doesn’t make for the most dramatic pictures.

Managed to dodge it for all of Saturday's 50k gravel type adventure, and the vast majority of Sunday's 100k road ride until the last 10k where the heavens opened and we got drenched, but it was still warm.

Last day of our stay in Banchory before we move on. Tomorrow we will be passing through Ballater and Dunkeld so need to decide where to ride weather permitting.
Took in quite alot of the trails today and didn't start of too well with an over the bars on the first one.
Didn't let it unnerve me and nailed everything else we rode.
