Gradually building a Jeffsy up from a frame.

Like most bikes it's frame guides are designed for the rear brake lever to be on the right of the bar. Which I don't want.

Now,I can run it in a tight curve to the left of the head tube where the frame guides actually are.... Or, run it "around" the head tube and cable fit tie it to the dropper cable on the right.

Around the headtube gives a "kinder" curve to the brake line but it is slightly more faff to have it cable tied to the dropper cable on the right of the bike.

First world problem I know!

Yes I do but I designed the cable guide for it. No dropper either. So not very helpful sorry

Yes - thankfully I have a bike that had the foresight to allow for the cables to go either way.

The curves are much better! It's a pet hate of mine when brands don't allow for it.

My Trek had the same problem, thankfully they decided to run guides for a front mech (they even included one, quickly put in the parts bin 8) ) so I ran the hose that way and crossed over halfway down the downtube.

Yep i do. And the rear mech round the left side. They both go down the downtube and cross over under the BB.

I always try and run my hoses and cables around the other side of headtube. Looks much better IMO.

It depends on how close tha cable guide is to the heal tube. Just try it on both sides and see what looks the cleanest
