I'm beginning to wonder how many of you whipper snappers let your fancy suspension and big wheels do the talking?
Yeah, you're faaaaaassssssst, but I guess I would be too on seven inches of terrain disguising travel and big sticky tyres.
I'd be more impressed if you could 'throw down some sick moves' full rigid as you session the trail centers...
😉
Lucky then that I'm not motivated by impressing you isn't it?
Ride? Riding?….
Not round these parts….
You'd be impressed if you saw me riding full rigid.
It's all about the travel man

2.5 inches of fury.
Nope. The only skilled rider round here is richmtbguru.
Rockin the rigid Northwind...
Started off riding rigid - no choice.
Now I ride both - stupid not to IMO.
OP how old are you? I won't ask how fast you are 🙄
I have my rigid bike set up in a sit up and beg style with low saddle and high bars and I like to negotiate the trails seated..
Standing up is far from gentlemanly and really takes the skill element out of trail riding IMO
ideally trail riding should be undertaken wearing a good hand stitched leather soled brogue..
Centers?
Oh dear.
Northwind - what is going on with that chain? Looks very odd on my screen...
RichMTBGuru told me to sit it out like i'm in my armchair with a cold beer, and always look at the front tyre 8)

It's a slabical illusion.
I've just got a rigid bike with 24" wheels.
Bow down beetches 8)
The suspension doesn't make you faster it just makes it more comforatble.HTH
It depends. The Tracer275 is a very efficient seated climbing bike but can just about cope with sprinting. As Lopes says, the saddle is not a seat, it's a platform for powerful pedalling. Stand when freewheeling, always! Else you are trapped by the saddle and you will crash!

You started this thread as well, and from that thread you said
One razz around on Giant's finest demonstrated that this over-grown jey-boy bike was more capable, faster and more fun handling than my 130mm travel 26er full-sus. It rode like a road bike on flat stuff and descended like a motocross bike on the ruff...hmmmnnnn...
I believe you live under bridges in Sweden, yep I'm calling you a Troll.
suspension doesn't make you faster
Makes me faster, no doubt about it 😛 😮 😀
NW indeed it is, it took me a while to notice and you get a googlewhack for your illusion phrase ...unless someone repeats it obviously
PS why feed such an obvious troll?
More than troll say I. OP, you are Pussywillow. £5 please. Cash or cheque.
If that's pussywillow then he's being paying attention in grammar class.
I've had rigid and then suspension that barely worked and now due to progress my bike is really good. No reason for me to chose to ride any other way, least of all due to some nobjockey keyboard king.
Whether or not I'm skilful is an irrelevance, I enjoy riding my bike and suggest you do the same it may help you stop typing such twaddle.
I'm rigid too...

OP, you are GW and I also claim the other £5
Quality of trolling these days is just rubbish.
Still, this one seems to be better than his last attempt.

Please don't take my name in vain op,it is registered in these parts. I will have to ask you re-phrase your op or I will have to take the appropriate legal action.
riding rigid is easy the real art is tossing one off while doing drops....

"I'm faster than you, my kit is brand new"
I'd say fewer people know how to ride an FS than a HT. Even fewer know how to set them up. Especially in the Surrey Hills.
Right, I best get on my stereo super, put on the old 661 pressure suit n blast down some hills then...
My skills are compensated for by having a soft front and a tumescent tail.
Only git a myself now. I can't wait to get a mother trail bike though… (sorry, they're called enduro bikes these days, aren't they?)

Phew. At least you tempered the absolute awesomeness of the FS bike with buying one that looks awful 😉
