I must admit I don't, not routinely anyway and wonder if I should. Once the sag and rebound is set and maybe tweaked after a couple of rides I tend to leave well alone. They don't seem to lose any pressure and I think I'd notice any increase in sag if they did. Should I have a word with myself or crack on?
I do, reasonably regularly, and especially before a proper ride. Manufacturers tend to recommend checking before every ride. If you're not having any issues, I'd say crack on!
If it not losing air why bother. I don't once set up
But every time you check you loose air. I'ver had multiple years of no air loss. It would be really obvious from travel if you lost air

I do as I think the shock is losing pressure. Turns out it's me gaining some mass and the shock is fine.
I check sag occasionally as my weight fluctuates. I also change air pressures when strapping camping kit etc. to the bouncy bikes. Also, shock service intervals are so short air pressures get checked several times a year during routine services. I've a notebook in the workshop where I keep a note of air pressures for different bikes. I like sweet running machinery.
I think most people incur expense from not looking after their kit.
If your sag is right it doesn’t matter. Check your sag periodically. Throughout the year the pressures will change with temperature so even if it’s not leaking out, they’ll need a tweak a couple of times a year. Winter usually shows the pressures have dropped due to cold. If you are anything like me, your weight will also change throughout the year. Typically +\- 2kg. Often more drop during the first few months of Spring as I shed me winter cake fatness.
I check my sag now and again randomly, or if the suspension is feeling weird. Not sure what the pressure is, might have it written on my phone, but I know the sag percentages that work best on each bike and am pretty sensitive to them being off.
There’s not much air volume in a fork or shock so checking the air pressure inevitably means losing pressure and then correcting it.
Check sag every ride. Only if it's out would I check the pressure
I do a monthly check of all the bikes as I like things running well and enjoy spannering time as much as riding time. Shock and fork pressures get checked at that time or if I'm off for a long weekend/trip away. The only time I forgot to check pre-trial was on my last trip to Chatel and I had issues with a leaky seal on the shock letting the air out overnight. Most likely purely coincidence but I've been religious in checking the pressures every few days before a trip away now to spot any issues.
and dont forget to check service intervals. I had no idea my new Sid RLs had a 50 hour service interval. At the moment that means servicing mine every 3 to 4 weeks!
