As in a thread where people just post very cheap stuff they've found.

Sure I've seen one before, but perhaps on another forum and may be it's a stupid idea and just gets spammed...

Well, if so this thread can die, for now, some great 27x3.0 tyres I stumbled across for £20.

(No idea how I ended up on the Halfords site)

They look bargainous, thanks OP.

Has anyone used these tyres? I've currently got some 27.5x3.0 Nobby Nic Performance tyres, which aren't rated tubeless. Would these be worth taking a punt on? I've had a quick look on Google but most reviews seem to cover the 29er version.

Good luck getting any. I can’t get delivery or any stock in local stores.

Stock seem to come back for a while.

Managed to get a pair. Fitted. Went on really well.

Seem quite nice but not as sharp feeling as my previous 2.8 Rocket Ron.

Let me know if you're looking to sell them? I'd be keen to put some on my Tarn
Cheers

I managed to get a pair, which I picked up today. They look fast rolling, but I've not fitted them yet. I suspect the Nobby Nics are a better bet for the rest of winter but am keen to hear of peoples experiences with them.

One 40 miler today says I may be up for getting rid of them.

They're too much tyre for me. Don't like the extra weight on the steering.

Plenty of grip though.

Will go to rocket Ron 2.6 next.

Previous setup was really 2.8 front mezcal 2.3 rear.

Love these as a front tyre, amazing grip for such a minimal tread, just got a pair for £16.78 each, they seem to get cheaper every day !

Hi
Where are you getting these from? I keep trying the Halfords link above but it says not available for delivery or collection?

That's a bit of a bargain, I thought I was doing well at £22 each! Just out of interest, what did you run as a rear tyre with one of these up front? I was thinking of running these front and rear, or using these a rear with a Nobby Nic up front.

I logged on and it said they were available, literally went outside for 2 minutes to measure the clearance and then came back in and it said they were gone!

I've been using bomboloni on rear in 29+ size. It wears really fast and after 6 months I had to get something new. It's not very puncture-proof either.

But the grip was decent

Never run one on the rear, currently matched with a Cannoli which again works really well

You just need to keep checking back on the site, I think they release a few each day and when they are gone you just wait till the following day, been watching them for a while, it says out of stock but when you click on the more details you sometimes get lucky
