Ok im having a very bad morning! The van broke down on the way to llandegla this morning so had to abandon that trip with a nasty bill expected to get that back on the road.

When I got home I took my dog out with my bike (used 09 ex8 bought 2 weeks ago) round the local medows which was a nice ride.when I got back I noticed my front fox forks leeking quite abit from the seal on the right hand leg.

Is this something I can fix myself as ive got that nasty garage bill looming? If not where can I getit done reasonably around the Manchester? ?

Heres too a better afternoon.....

Would it just be a case of replacing the seals? Or is it in need of a service I understand a full service would be better but unfortunately this might have to be done on a budget.

May as well service while you are on get motorbike fork oil the same grade as is required it's usually cheaper. Likely is just the seal but it could be the stancions have worn. Which forks I bet there's a Youtube guide?

Hah, in that case yes they need a service- service interval on that fork was most likely 15 hours for a quick one and either 50 or 100 hours for a full service. Few people stick to the Fox and Rochshox intervals but it's fair to say it's almost certainly overdue, even if it wasn't leaking.

LBS might do it- some just send on to central servicers, others are fully competent to do it themselves.

Use TF Tuned, or Loco or Mojo.

All done online, they will even get a courier to pick them up if you want.
