Love my rocketmax but there have always been a few things I would have changed. Steeper seat angle being one of them. I run my seat slammed forward on the rails and still roll to the nose of the saddle when climbing real steep stuff, steeper seat angle would take care of that!
The rocketmax isn’t overly plush like my airdrop edit was so maybe another Horst link could bring that back?
Slightly shorter back end could be helpful for some situations, easier to manual and possibly a touch more manoeuvrable as well?
Size wise I really like the rocketmax, stable and planted but still fun. Privateer is very similar in size. I know there are always trade offs with some of those things I’ve listed above. Thought about propain tyee, new rocketmax or new sentinel if an alloy one comes out! I know someone will say bird am9 but rode it and although it was nice I wouldn’t say I preferred it to my rocketmax!
Any other ideas?

The one you tried had original or RRR link, coil or air? This changes the bike's character a lot
The one I tried was the one before the current version, so mk2 I think? It felt it did nothing better than my rocketmax. The raw is nice to be fair but I kind don’t like the look of the bike that much, however vain that it is

Amazing suspension
Chainstays are balanced to bike length but you can adjust easily if that’s your bag.
Long reach needs longer stays for balance but with a G1 you’re free to adjust so best of both worlds.
Funnily enough a Geometron is on the list but it’s around 1k more than I have so it’s sort of been ruled out!
