Hi,

I'm about to service my Fox 32 Vanilla R 140 (2008) fork.

In preparation, I read a few manuals and watched a number of instruction videos. Some of them advise to pre-soak the foam rings in Fox Float fluid, while others simply recommend that you pre-soak them in the normal suspension fluid that you would inject into the lowers (in my case Fox Green 10WT).

Any ideas what is required? Any insight would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Pete

Fox say 10wt Green but Mojo, the UK Fox distributor/service centre say Float Fluid because it's thicker and can better handle the tough conditions over here. I always go for Float fluid.

Great, thanks!

So I take it either will do, but using the Float Fluid is simply better for UK conditions.

Will one 5cc sachet suffice for two foam rings?

Buy a bottle, it will last you years, even if you service your seals as often as fox recommends (which is not required imo)

Yes, it's just that Float fluid is better.

I'm not sure to be honest. I've got a bottle of the stuff so don't have to worry about it.

I usually mix one sachet of Float fluid with some Motol 10wt. This is with the later, higher density foam.
