Do u need the cassette spacer. Shimano 11spd cassette and the wheels are shimano rs100

11-34 fits on a 10-speed freehub without the supplied spacer, on 11-speed freehub you need that spacer.
Shimano say...the adapter is needed to use a 10spd cassette sprocket...so I guess its a 10spd hub
The freehub is up to 11 speed. 8,9,10 and mtb11 are the same width. Road 11 is 1.85mm longer.
However, 11-34 11 speed is an mtb cassette geometry wise. Smaller range 11 speed road cassettes have a flat back to them. Mtb have a slightly dished back. Using the 1.85mm spacer makes it flat backed and suitable for a road bike. It's all about spoke clearance in the largest sprocket.
