Can anyone think of a way i can get a cheap casio g shock watch securely on my bars? even if it involves cutting the straps.

Google "handlebar adapter for watch" and you'll see a few suggestions. One that uses zip ties would likely be the most sturdy

could do with 3D printing an attachment that fits to the strap pins and has a garmin style fitment for the back of the watch.

I'm sure Polar does a handlebar watch mount for their heart rate monitor watches.

Edit: Yes they do.

Correct answer in 2nd post - have often attached HRMs that way (and currently use pipe lagging on a bit of plastic to hold it for kayaking)</thread>

Garmin also make a mount for watches. Works OK, but a bit expensive for what is just a lump of rubber and a couple of zip ties. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/garmin-forerunner-small-bike-mount-kit/

Pipe lagging also works fine.
