Just about to finish up with my usual tub of SIS Rego. Tempted to buy another as it tastes great but I can’t bear the horrific farts anymore. I mean, it’s terrible, eye wateringly terrible. If you’ve used that stuff before you’ll know what I’m on about.
Anyone mixing up their own shakes with stuff from the supermarket? I’ve got a smoothie maker machine thing.
What should I chuck in the basket next time I’m at the supermarket?
I used to always make my own at home, as I thought it tasted much better and I seemed to be able to keep it down.
Banana, milk, yogurt and some sort of flavouring and the basic bases.
Peanut butter, cocoa powder or some form of berries.
I always added Baking Soda too, no idea if it was a placebo effect, but I was told it reduced lactic acid build-up and therefore chucked it in!
I’ve seen people use raw eggs, and other various things, but no way!!

Ironically, the yogurt you mix it with contains lactic acid.
Milks good, although it does cause weight gain (think about it, it's designed to make babies fat, so that's what it does to grown ups too).
sweetened almond milk plus add what you want. I think its the hydration affect I get most benefit from. Try to include some protein for recovery

pH of you blood varies by a tiny amount. eating doesn't change a thing. If the pH did change you would die.
Milk, own preference, blackberries, banana in a blender. Bit of sugar to sweeten to taste, and a scoop of protein powder if you want to be scientific.

I use my Rego sparingly because I tend to just have a glass of milk with choc flavouring instead if I'm finishing a ride at home. Often swiftly followed by half a tin of mackerel in tomato sauce on toast.
Could put it all together in a shake i suppose.
