I think pressure washers are too strong and garden sprayers don't hold constant pressure, so I modified one

Pressure washers are fine if you get a small one.

What happened to monkey?

I have a dirt worker and small kercher and am just gentle around pivots etc. No problems.

Yeh pressure washers are fine, but 12v portable ones expensive this is ok for cleaning it enough to put it in car. And if you already have a 12v air pump sorted

I put it in the car dirty. A tarp keeps the car clean.

I suspect his casual jiggery and possible pokery has led to a fireball of death.

Edit: No, it appears I am wrong. As well as slow.

Every half dozen rides or so wait for the kack to dry, knock/scrape off the worst of it and wipe off with a damp cloth. Life is too short to spend it washing your bike. I give the drive train a wipe down and re-lube after every ride.

Hose. Soapy cloth. Hose. Lube.

Sounds a bit wrong written down that.

Used to use a Karcher, but the 'manual' way seems just as quick, kinder to the bike, and more effective.

It's definitely not quicker for me to use a bucket and cloth. Jetwasher is very quick, especially as it sorts the chain out in seconds too.

Jet wash whilst mud is still wet, avoiding direct onto bearings, dry off with an old towel. ptfe spray over the mechs and pedals, wet lube on the chain and a drizzle around the seals of the bouncy bits. Done in 10 minutes and bike is always spangly and working perfect.
