So, I've got a nice Decade frame for commuting, towing and ss perversion in the winter. I also have a set of Hope hubs on rims that have seen far far better days and need a rebuild.

I'm thinking of some 29 rims (or beefy 700c touring rims) to run as a 29er or 69er, maybe with CX tyres for a faster commute, maybe with proper fat ones for proper rides.

What am I going to find wrong with this? Do I need a longer fork (Bonty switchblade at the moment .. not keen to change it)? Which setup is more likely to work nicely? Wasting my time and should just rebuild on 26" rims?

see if you can borrow a pair of 700c wheels and tyres to test in the frame. Inbred's are ok with slim 700c tyres and disk hubs the Decade might be too.
