Probably worrying about nothing....I want to swap the brakes around on my bikes. Swap the Avid BB7's and Shimano hydraulics but leave the rotors as the Shimano are centrelock and the Avids ain't - I can't swap the wheels.

Are there any issues with using the Avid's with sintered pads on the Shimano discs and vice versa?
Cheers

It'll be fine so long as the rotors are the same size.

And the braking surface is the same depth or deeper.

Careful....

I have XTR rotors and BB7s and the little pad removal tab fouls on the centre spider of the rotor. I just nipped the little tab off.

Check the rotor. Will say if it suits organic only. Most suit both

Aahhh... I wondered how you were running that combination on your Van Nicholas Druidh! I got rid of some centrelock XT for that very reason, should have thought outside the box!
