hi all,

i just bought a great nick 2nd hand pair of fox float forks - guess 07/8 vintage - not used much by someone who stopped mtb for road - was ideally for the internal spares... but my mate wants the lowers etc - however when we put a few wheels in the rotor seems very, very close to the post mount ( vs other forks we own ) - like 0.5 / 0.3mm - its worse with a 180 vs 160 rotor...

the fork isnt bent / twisted and the wheels sit in line etc and we know they have had an easy life. So is this a problem - brakes work ok etc - just seems a bit close...

Got about 2mm clarance on my Hope hubbed QR15 version. Rotor size shouldnt affect it as the rotor and leg should sit parallel, are the wheels sitting in the dropout correctly?

It happens with some combinations - I assume they are floating rotors?
I had to file a fair amount of my post mounts off to fit. Thats Xfusion Vengeance+Hope rotor. My mate had to do the same on Hope rotor with Fox fork. Even with std rotor, I only had the smallest of margins (.5mm max)
