Hello,
I bought a load of pads from Disco a while back, Juicys and Elixrs.
They have lasted at most two rides, the last ride the pad came away from the backing. Not impressed.
My question is - who makes decent'ish pads at a competitive price. I know you get what you pay for, but £25 a set is a bit steep...
PS. I would have searched for this but since STW decided that Google was tip-top I can't actually find anything relevent.
Cheers
Ricks
edit - read the OP properly first!
A2Z pads - wolly hat shop- great performance and cheap!
Suset have them as well if you want to get them local
Cheers Steve 🙂
Tandem - I knew i'd get flamed, but the sodding Google search is shocking - STW must be getting paid for the ads, but at the cost of a decent user experience. Not ideal.
rickon - I misread your post.
I try to only use original pads as I get long life from them - but My brakes are hopes
Ah i see, I had a wander onto CRC and seen Avid's own for £15... so actually not that bad really. Just remembered the last set were £25.
Although I'll be buying some A2Zs and some stock pads and see how they go.
I've got Hope brakes. EBC or Hope for me, and EBC actually make the Hope pads. Don't see the point in saving a couple of quid on probably the most important piece of safety equipment on the bike
