I'm looking for a light rear rack for my Swift but it'll need to accommodate a disc calliper.

I'm sure that there used to be a variety of dog-leg racks for just this situation but I can't seem to find any. I have found one disc compatible rack but this works by having long blocks at the attachment points, pushing the rack out and using very long screws and I can help thinking that a loaded rack might put undue force on the screws/attachment threads.

I'm aware that some racks come with fixing brackets to work around callipers but most online retailers don't give details of this.

Can someone point me in the direction of a light (reasonably cheap) rear rack that'll work with a Swift (29er) and a disc calliper; ideally I'd like a silver one but it's not essential?

Hi

I think I have one unused in the shed- its black- your for a tenner. Wide stance legs on it to accommodate the calliper.

I have the Topeak super tourist DX on my commuter, its disc, but a 700c not 29er, there is room for a much bigger tyre though so I'm sure it would be fine. They do it in black or silver.

When I was doing something similar, I just used some of these, acquired from the local hardware shop:
