ive just watched that and am now very excited about the mega, just wondering how im gonna get fit enough!!!!
Yeah it's inspired me to sign on for next year's race. Anyone know how best to prepare for the Mega? I ride 18 miles a day to work and back but I don't think that'll help my complete lack of skill.
well confidence on steep stuff and rocks is good
but general fitness is what its mostly about, upper body strength also essential
Brilliant series. Beautiful pictures. 3min50: New Bike Please!!!
I fancy having a go at it on my hardtail, reckon it (I) could take it?
from what i understand of the mega there are no 'do or die' bits so you can ride it at whatever level you are at. to do it justice and be competetive is a different matter of course but who cares where you finish as long as you beat your mates?!
renners - Robbie Rickman did it on a Bfe in 2008
