Anyone been yet ?

I've booked a pre-opening taster session tomorrow evening - should be a laugh.

Signed my 4 page disclaimer - 1. There is a serious risk of injury or death 🙂

Looking forward to it - should be a good facility.

I went along on Saturday, £12 for 2 hours, booking via eventbrite
The dirt jumps were great but i ended up spending most of the time throwing myself into the air bag!
Very good day out 😀

What's the air bag like - looks frightening - I'm going on a 130 full suspension - it will be a bit 'much' but should be a laugh.

The air bag's properly ace if it's the same one they had at Northern Grip a couple of years ago.

I'll see if I can generate some interest in our riding group. Some work in Manchester, so you'd hope so!

I've sent them an enquiry on behalf of MNPR.

That was good fun.

Got there a bit early. Ended up chatting with a DH MTB'er that had shattered his pelvis on a jump in France 3 years ago - around when I broke my spine. Bloke had only just been able to ditch crutches, but not yet back on a bike. Top fella, and knew the 'owners'.

I stuck out of the way of the young fellas on the jump bikes - 130mm trail bike, but hit the MTB/trail circuit quite alot - great fun, got a great workout - also didn't queue for the jump runs, just kept going.

Lots of good advice from folk, possibly oldest rider there at 49. Just kept hitting the run faster and faster.

Didn't try the air bag jump - looked great, but given my accident record, nope...

Couple of the lads slid out on the 'plywood' on the run into the jumps - trail bikes on trail tyres. The jump bikes were OK.

Magic Mary slid out-I was like 'never seen someone moan about a magic mary slipping, oh yeh, plywood.... !!!'.

Let my minions stick to the trail bits..

Mmmmmm mumm mmmmmmm am pleased to see they pulled it off. No mean feat!

Not surprised it took some LA co-operation and a punt from Jon Secada!

They haven't really- this facility is a stopgap with plans to open the real thing in a couple of years. But it still looks like a big achievement to me

Have you seen how onerous the vast majority of commercial leases are?

I can imagine indemnifying the landlord from costs associated with the removal of wagon loads of dirt, in the event of the business going bust, does not come cheap! Many landlords/landlords agents would refuse point blank to take the risk.

Any further update? People still enjoying it?

Worth travelling up from London?
