[Closed] Direct mount hanger for semi horizontal drop out

Hey guys & gals,

This may be a bit of a weird ask but…

I've just bought an old 70's Puch which has a simplex 5 speed setup on the rear using what looks to be a 'claw' style mech hanger (semi horizontal drop outs).

What I'm wondering is, would it be possible to fit a direct mount style mech onto the hanger? I've seen some Shimano Tourney 6/7 speed rear mechs that I might fit (if there's frame spacing to go up that wide) which are advertised as direct mount but I just don't know enough about that tech to be able to put it together in my head!
