I'm converting my 2011 Stumpjumper from 3x10 to 1x10 but am having a dilemma when considering the chain security options.
My current front mech is direct mounted - "S1 direct mount for DMD" according to the specs on the Specialized website.
- I've no ISCG tabs
- I don't think a seat tube guard would fit
- I believe the press fit BB could cause problems for a BB guard
I've seen an E-13 XCX direct mount version but it seems to be compatible with S3 direct mounting, which I'm guessing is different to S1!?
