Is there any difference between a Sram gx 2x 11 speed rear mech and 1x 11 speed rear mech?

CRC have both on offer and I cannot tell if there is any real difference in them. It's to go on a 1*11 set up! There is a whole £8 difference in price....

Cage length and capacity, 2x is longer to take up more chain slack.

Cable routing/clamp is different if you care.

1x11 specific mech will be a clutch type, 2x11 won’t be.

Yes-I had a 2x installed by mistake on my bike which had a 1x chainset and I had lots of dropped chains. The clutch mech is different.

I’ve got a 2x rear mech on my bike, went 1x with a 11-46 cassette and a narrow wide front with no problems, and no dropped chains at all.
