Just recovered an abandoned item from Reeth, quite important to the operation of a bicycle. If you've lost something let me know what and where and I'll organise a reunion.

I say this on everyone of these threads.

The likelyhood of a specific mountaibniker being on here is so low you should hand it into the police.

I'm not critising the action you understand I think its great just that you have a better chance of reuniting it that way.

Pass details on to Dales Bike Centre. That's who I'd ask.
Was it a battery?

Can we play guess the item?

I lost a front wheel there in the snow, but that was in 1997. It had an SLX hub, that's all I remember. Have you found it?

My folks found it on their way through. They had no idea what it was, just that it came from a bike. The cost of a new one wouldn't cover fuel to drop it into a police station. Good shout on the Dales MTB centre.

I've also lost lots of front wheels in snow but I usually find them again once I've picked my backside up off the floor.

It’s a front axle isn’t it?

Was it a wife?
They do tend to cycle awfully slow so are prone to getting lost.

If it's heart shaped and it was handed in my a starship trooper, it's mine.
