As a spectator in the 90s I remember seeing MTBers getting to places the crowds couldn't get to - and beating the road jams along the way no doubt.
Did anyone ride their bikes to and in stages this year? I'd be interested in hearing how it went, whether it's worth it, issues to deal with and if you also managed to get some cheeky riding in too.
I didn't see anybody about, was spectating Friday and Saturday.
It might cause more problems than it solves tbh as marshals will be vary wary of you on a bike, even pushing or carrying it. More so than just walking as they'll expect you to be slower getting out of the way.
Having said that you can get into Myherin easily if you park on the Cwmyswyth road and take the green lane/bridleway over the top towards Llangurig.
