Soooo bearing in mind my Giant Defy is standard QR and post mount disc brakes, it is worth upgrading to Di2 given the frame is basically out of date now, or should I buy a new bike?

Discuss.

Yes. My road bike has a straight steerer, QR axles and rim brakes. It’s still a lovely light carbon bike & the Di2 just makes it even better.

What has the wheel and brake fixings got to do with Di2?! It is very good. Not sure I’d change a perfectly good group set though, so depends if you need bits. If you’ve got hydraulic brakes then the levers are expensive.

There’s a shop on eBay currently doing the levers and post mount brakes for £214 for both.  That’s a pretty good deal.  I love Di2 and would put it in anything funds allowing.

I was thinking Ultegra 8070 or possibly Dura Ace 9170. Have the money but complete groupset is most cost effective and got a bit put off by compatibility - can’t use the flat mount brakes and there’s some annoying thing about the brake hoses being different (currently have RS 785). Also Ultegra 6800 does work very well!
