With time on my hands I thought I'd download the Shimano E-Tube software and have a play with the Di2 settings on my road bike, maybe try synchoshift, etc.
It all looks fairly simple from what I can see, but before I mess around to much, what's the worst damage I can do?
now then.
I did this on the MTB.
Turned down the e bike settings across all stages to give me little assistance and most mileage.
you can tune a lot to really sort your ride the way you want it.
Just remember
1 - STORE your new BT code
2 - make sure you disconnect from the bike - IMPORTANT
3 - delete the Bluetooth setting on your phone as it's stored under the old code
4 - resign in with the new code
this should stop any headaches going forwards
All the best
OK, no Bluetooth as it's an older version of Di2, Ultegra 6800, so that should make it easier.

I presume that you have an SM-PCE01 or SM-PCE02 then?
oh ok,
just remember to press the disconnect button.
I watched the local bike shop sweat for 30mins after servicing the bike and just pulled the cable out the bike - and then it wouldn't turn on!
We managed to get it back on the PC eventually and then reset the bike and DISCONNECTED it.
All's good now!

No, was going to plug into the PC using the SM-BCR2 charger.

Ah, I thought you couldn't use that for changing settings / firmware but appears I am wrong 🙂
I’ve got DI2 on my road bike and I’ve had a good play with ETube software and settings via a laptop and cable, I’ve reversed the buttons on my shifters (big button to shift to the lower gears at the back and big ring at the front) and I’ve set up synchro shift which is great. You have to have the correct battery version for synchro shift. There’s plenty of online stuff so you shouldn’t muck it up.
Although I've got the Bluetooth module on both my Di2 bikes, it's a lot easier to play around using the PC. As above, remember to disconnect in the app before unplugging, or you'll think you've bricked it. I've set mine up the same way as beaker, just seems to make more sense. I'm wondering what to do with the extra buttons on the hoods of the GRX - at the moment they change pages on the Garmin.
The SM-BCR2 battery isn’t compatible with synchro shift I don’t believe - you need the newer BT-DN110 battery.
If you’ve got that you might not even need to update anything - I’ve just connected up a mixture of components and with no updates at all it just works. On junction box A you can skip between manual shifts / semi-syncro / full syncro shift.
I want to reprogram my levers so both left ones shift one way and both right ones shift the other, but I’m a little hesitant to connect to the e-tube app on my iPhone using Bluetooth in case the app decides to try to update the firmware and loses a connection mid way through and bricks the whole system. Both 4g and WiFi seem a bit slow at the moment as so many people must be using it so I’m not switching on Bluetooth until WiFi is back to normal and there are bike shops with the right shimano diagnostic tool that could fix it for me if I break it!
Aye as joebristol says because you have the same setup as me it's not currently compatible/possible with the full synchro. Because my work laptop is at home while I work here I asked IT to let me install the e-tube software and installed the million updates really easily. Wasn't much else I could do. If you have spare cash you could get the battery upgrade and would be able to use it. You'd need the BT-DN110 to be able to make use of the function using your cable and laptop. If you then wanted the ability to pair it with your garmin or phone to make changes in the future you'd then need the shimano wireless add on which can either go internally or externally on your bike. You're looking at approx £150 for both.
Right, just checked, I have the BT-DN110 battery.
Will plug it all in tomorrow and see what I can do.
To change shift modes on the bike you double click quickly the button on the Junction box A.
If you go to this link it tells you what lights you’ll see for what mode being activate:
