Shimano to introduce this in 2015?

Would anyone be tempted or is this more high tech to go with digital suspension and the like that purists will hate?

Cannondale's XC team have been testing it.

There's a company making a Di2 thumbshifter

did a bit of Di2 at work last year
the shimano service flow is hilarious
this is to test the whole system, you plug it in an run the test procedure...
gives you a 🙂 or a 🙁 then you consult the flow...

I'm pretty sure there are a few people on this forum who've put di2 on MTBs. I'm sure there'll be a market for it, just like there'll be a market for rigid steel 26ers. Variety is good.

It looked like Annie Last had a proper XTR version on her Trek at the weekend' s national race. Given the weather I couldn't be sure but the rear mech defo looked a bit chunky. Or it coul have just been a big lump of ice.

I know of one done a few years back, built onto a Scale 899. The bloke called it Xi2. Very nice but I can't tell you how it's faring in the real world.

How about a hub powered dynamo to recharge the battery!
Maybe even a braking powered regen system.

I believe it's holding up fine.

's good to know. It was assembled with shit weather in-mind so I'd expect nothing less from the gadget meister.

I recently heard he retro-fitted a pasta-making machine to his van...
