Just finished rebuilding a dhx 5. Stuck 90psi in the piggyback. Now without the spring on i can compress the shock by pushing it against the wall upto about 1.5" from the end of the stroke using all my weight. Its stiff, is that right or have i got air in there?

Dont want to go put it on the bike cos its a pita to fit to find out its wrong.

Wouldn't air in there make it easier to compress? Does it squelch when you do this? Pop more air in the boost valve and see if it gets stiffer.

Yeah i had 150 in it to start off and i could hardly move it. So its working just wondering if its overly hard for some reason.. should i be able to compress it to bottom out without a spring?

Have you got the damping wound off? Did you use the correct oil viscosity? Have you altered the shim stack order?

Mine will fully compress without a spring. Are you sure you've not over filled it?

Everything is wound off totally. Used 7.5 wt shim stack in same order.

IFP set at correct height so cant overfill it.

Where did you buy all the seals from? Thought they weren't available to buy. Can you send a link please?

Took them to a local industrial fasteners place.

I would ask if it's a high ratio shock but mine is 3:1 and that will fully compress by hand.

I'm sorry, I'm running out of ideas.
