Obviously there's a trade off in grip or rolling resistance depending on which way you go, but what's the best choice?

I'm not particularly concerned by wear rates or the price difference but don't want anything too draggy on the back.

Thanks

I always go for plain old 60a on the rear, 3C front.

Dual on the rear. 3c for the front.

Dual it is.

Now do I risk that a 2.4 Wide Trail will fit in the back of my Codeine? A Hans Dampf 2.35 will just about, a Vigilante 2.3 won't because it's too tall.

I've just fitted 3C on the rear, wish I hadn't. Grip is fantastic, but comes at a price in rolling resistance.
I'm using the drag as a good way to get fit!

i really liked the grip of the 3C on the rear, didn't notice much differance in drag over the dual. just a shame the exo tyres aren't tough enough for the abuse i give them.
currently on a butcher DH on the rear, now that is hard work to pedal around.

3C is really nice on the back if you're riding on wet or slimy rocks... But it doesn't really last unfortunately, the edges break up.
