Any using , any good ? grip rolling resistance etc .
Minion DHF? I use one alternately with a rear. Buy a pair. Rear wears out first. Buy another pair, rear wears out first again. Use the two good fronts. Repeat.
I've never had any issues with front on the rear, seems plenty grippy enough, braking is fine too. Can't tell any difference regards rolling resistance but on a 40Lb Stinky resistance isn't really a top priority...
Sam Hill did it for years and it never slowed him Down.
I've run DHF front and rear on most of my bikes and really like it. I did it originally as I had one spare and thought if it's good enough for Sam it would probably work for me (what with us obviously being equals in the bike skills department). Suffice to say they work well on either end and i didn't turn out to be as fast as him.

My buddy and I tried em front and rear. Â He had 2.5s and I had 2.6. Â There was so much added rolling resistance that I had to drop down 1 gear. Â DHR feels like a road slick in comparison.
Just get the harder compound or it will feel like it is made of bubblegum
I've run a DHF 3c 2.3 on the rear for quite a bit. It's brilliant if the weather isn't great and you want more grip over steep ground.
If you're running it at trail centres or anything that's not steep, I'd run the dual compound version.
ive run Dhfs on the rear of both my bikes for two years now so much better than Hr2 or hans Dampf imho
I have a DHF in DH casing on the back of 29er at the moment, quite liking it, haven't noticed ti feel that draggy TBH and I've rode with Spesh Slaughter and Schwalbe Rock Razor in the rear before.
I rode a Spesh Butcher in the rear before and found that fine also, however they are basically the same tyre!
Is anyone else having issues with their DHF cracking around the centre knobs? Every centre knob has a crack in the rubber at the base of each knob which matches the knob on the front edge and back edge, almost looks like the knobs have a moat! Not sure whether to keep riding it or retire it...
I quite like the DHF on the rear - it was certainly preferable compared to the total turd that was the original DHR. I used to run a super tacky up front and a 60a on the rear and thought that it was pretty quick.
These days I stick to a DHR II which works a bit better on the back.
