Now that Fort William is off for 2025 I’m keen to go to one abroad. Possibly flights then car hire. What venue would my best and easiest option? Just my eldest and I.
TIA
How fast are you, are you better at the pedally bits, jumps or roots?
Val di Sole is in a beautiful part of the world and the track is unbelievable in real life. It was really good to watch with good access. Not too hectic or busy.
Les Gets would probably be the easiest but it also looks like total chaos. You'd have to get your accommodation early and have a plan for moving around. Probably don't stay in Les Gets if you want any sleep.
I don't think I've been to any of the other 2025 venues but there's some new ones on there if you want to gamble.
I took my son to Andorra last year. Flew to Barcelona and rented a car. It's quite a drive. Stayed in Andorra La Vella (expensive parking and a bit strange). Bus up to the racing.
Had a great weekend.

Leogang. Great atmosphere, 2hrs 10 from Munich airport. Lots of accommodation nearby.
Lenzerheide as above, short flight to Zurich, then a very efficient train and a short bus ride. Hotels in the town are cool and a short walk to event. Racing from Friday through to Sunday and I think we paid 40 Euros for a weekend ticket
Leogang is a great event, been to VDS & it's a brute.
They were a week apart this year and I met some guys in Schladming who did both.
Loudenvielle is on a French bank holiday weekend next year and being the end of May should promise far better weather than the September races.
Fly into Toulouse, it's 2 hours drive. The ski resorts on either side of the valley (Peyragudes at the top of the Gondola and Val Louron opposite) have loads of reasonably priced accommodation. If you're moneybags or fast enough you'll find somewhere at the bottom to stay.
Andorra from Toulouse is also doable, but the extra charges make it a bit of a mare. They may be low on tax, but they bill visitors for anything they can, Even O'Leary would be jealous of their enterprising spirit.
