Looking forward to this. Hart is on fire, Gwinn will be looking to do the double, Loic will be looking to defend his title, Minnaar is always a threat and I thought looked super fast at the last round of the world cup. There's always the chance of an outsider throwing everything at it and seeing if it sticks (Brayton?).
I've perhaps unfairly written off Brosnan and as for Bryceland well he seems well out of it.
Not really worth discussing the women is it, 'tis a foregone conclusion. Battle for second place will be interesting though, my money's on Seagrave.

Looking forward to it this weekend.

Hoping Gwin will school the field again & put 8 seconds into everyone.

Don't like Hart, so happy for him to wad it up.

Part of me wants an outsider to stick one in. Would be good if Bryceland upset the apple cart, Fearon, Brannigan etc.

Basically anyone but Hart please 🙂

Potentially looking at Brosnan/Brayton as a good shout, all to play for nothing to lose. Pressure on Gwinn as he hasn't won it yet. It's a long tough track and plenty of rocks in there so I would be surprised to see a 100% finish rate among the top 20.
Bryceland looked back up to a bit of pace before his crash and Greg has the head for it. Good to see Peaty and Warner suited up with bikes on instagram on track.

Womens, Athertons to lose but there are 2 or 3 that will be gunning for her.

Don't like Hart,

How could anyone not like Danny Hart? Great rider, fun to watch and a really modest bloke.

If Bryceland wins they will need to subtitle his interview ,I can`t understand his northern tones being from Zummerset!!

I predict Bruni will take it. Watched his last run again yesterday and he soooooo smooth it looked slow. Of course I hope Hart wins.

Anyone but Gwin for me!

Will be interesting to see how Hart deals with the pressure as he'll now be expected to do well.

Would love to see Brayton do well - he's an animal on a bike.

By proxy really - something his old man did at a BDS to a marshal years ago & was allowed to 'slide' because of who he was. He's a nasty b*stard (the father).

Heard that, also a Don't you know who I ************************************** am to a poor marshall at the mega who told him that due to a crash practice was delayed.

Definitely a mistake to write off Brosnan IMO - surely just a matter of time until he wins again.

But Gwin, Hart and Bruni all seem just that little bit more capable of putting in a killer run.

Podium is a real prospect for Brayton, the way he's been racing this year.

Hoping Gwin will school the field again & put 8 seconds into everyone.

While that was undoubtedly one of the greatest DH runs ever, I'm not desperate to see a repeat myself.

He's a nasty b*stard (the father).

I won't do any public mud slinging but I have to agree with this. Danny himself is alright especially now that he's old enough to play out on his own.

I know enough about downhill to know that predictions are pointless. I missed Andorra so I just want to see an epic battle with all the top boys having a fair shout.

Val di Sole is incredible. You get absolutely no sense of the gradient and the sheer danger involved in throwing yourself down those chutes.

Maybe Gee will pull something out the bag, who knows. Minaar, Danny, Brosnan and Gwinn are all pretty close in my opinion for this one. So basically any of the top 5.

I'm going for Loic Bruni and Tracey Hannah.

As mentioned - it's so unbelievably tight at the top with the men. The top few could all easily win it, but then you've got outsiders like Eddie Masters, Ratboy, Adam Brayton, etc, etc - the list is as long as your arm of people who have had a fastest split at some point this year.

Unortunately, I'll miss it live, will have to catch up in the evening, before I read a spoiler.

Well there's a chance Rachel could crash, but she's currently so much better than the rest that she can take it relatively easy on her runs and still win by a comfy margin.

There has never been a safer bet.

Link to red bull tv for those who can't be bothered to Google it!

I'm going Minnar and Atherton.

Gee is injured still isn't he? He's some way off the pace recently anyway, so would seem a long shot for him to get a podium.

Really can't wait.

The Mens is probably going to be between Hart and Gwin, but I'd like Minnar or RatBoy to get it, and Carpenter to get the womens, but I think it'll need Rachel to crash for that.

I reckon Danny Hart will overcook it and come off. Gwin or Minaar to take the win but loads in contention. The ladies is almost pointless, even the race for second is down to a few possibilities.

The racing will be ace no matter what but they've gotta let Warner and Page get pissed during the race and allow the bilge to flow from Robs gob for the comedy gold it's been so dearly lacking these last couple of years.
Maybe get Ratboy to help too

Gwin hart bruni is my prediction. I really like Danny Hart , think he is very humble and just gets on with it.
His sister worked as a chalet girl at Pension Enzian in Austria if any of you have been, and his mum is cool too, so one bad egg ( his dad) does not a bad lad make.... Or something.

Hart to win men
Rach to win women

Tough call, they syndicate as always get a good job done. Braytons can you just anodise that bit too is a nice looking bike.\
For the women Seagrave's Shiny Disco Explosion Transition is the best.

Trek looks like they forgot to send the frames off

Lots of tarts handbags tbh. I like the ano and unpainted ones, where the company's remembered they're making a race bike not a prop for fast and furious

Who wins for the best looking bike?

Santa Cruz and Specialized have both done really nice looking bikes.
Ratboy's is best looking at the moment, but going on form he'll crash it in practice, qualifying and race run, and it'll no longer be looking quite so nice.

Love the stealth Teks and the raw GT furys.

I reckon it's up between Hart, Gwin or Minaar for the men's and then Rachel will take the womens followed by Tahnee, or Tracey then Manon.

I'd love to see Ratboy do it, but he definitely seems to be off pace and uninterested this season. Would suck if he retired too.

They basically haven't - theirs are unpainted raw carbon, as it saves the weight of the paint.

Whatever about the bike, hopefully Rachel Atherton wins - a clean sweep of all the World Cups and the World Champs would be incredible.

Hmm, exactly, 'stealth' isnt hard with a carbon frame. Id be a bit dejected to be honest.

Exactly - Rachel will most likely smash the rest of the field so 230g of paint won't make much difference to her and Gee isn't riding.

Bruni and Illes bikes look ace too.

I'd like to see Seagrave win the women's race as she's had a great season. And Bruni to win the men's race as he's a great rider but been out of action for most of the the World Cup.
