Anyone know what weight a Devinci Dixon medium frame is?
I keep reading it can be built up to 29lbs but can't find a definitive frame weight anywhere, making me suspect its on the heavy side.....
I'm sure it can be built sub 30lbs with xtr this and carbon that..
Anyone know what the weight of this frame is with standard shock?
Lol I've been calling my mates Dixon a Nixon - no wonder no one wanted buy it! Here's a link to my mates Dixon bike and it is well under 29lbs - more like 26 maybe even less and it's a medium.
No, but I have just been into the garage and weighed a fully built bike - it.s 31.1lbs. This build includes the standard wheels, a dropper seatpost and no lightweight components or carbon anything, so losing 2lbs would be easy if that was you wanted to do.
Hope that helps.
You could probably make one 29lbs if you tried. Mine is a medium and has Lyriks (air), Crossmax SXs with LUST tyres, Formula R1s, XT / SLX and a Jopin 4. It weighs 30.4lbs.
..........I don't understand.Lol I've been calling my mates Dixon a Nixon - no wonder no one wanted buy it!
Anyway my strong build large Dixon with gravity dropper, DH tyres, DH bars, etc is 31.15lbs and the frame including shock, seatclamp, axle is 7lbs exactly.
If you are riding smoother trails or trail centres then 26-28lbs with a medium would be do-able.
My Dixon with fox36, Easton haven wheels, reverb, 1x10 weighs just under 29lb, not sure what the frame/shock weighs but it's a very good bike, if you do get one make sure you pick up a rear shock volume adjuster spacer as the standard shock seemed to blow through the travel too easily.

How did you get it so light with 36's on? Is it a small frame?
Definitely better with the volume adjuster (think Freeborn do those as standard). I only really have one gripe and that's I would have liked the bottom bracket to be 1/2"-3/4" lower but my local rides are very rough/steep so the bb height may be fine for other riders. I am going to try out some offset shock bushings shortly to lower the BB so that should make the geometry perfect for me.
A tough, reliable and very well made bike with a lot of attention to detail and quality.
Fit for purpose.
Duir, my frame is a medium and on the digital scales is a smidge under 29 lb, freeborn are my LBS so spend a lot of time in there (my 5th devinci now) and fitted the reducer after a discussion with Paul and Joe, totally agree with the bb ht and would love to lower this a bit, my only other complaint is the paint is crap and scratches too easily, also got a 2011 Wilson with the same paint which is even worse.
Would like to know how you get on with the offset shock bushings?
