Thoroughly puzzled re this.

Mavic 717 (rim brake rim) x 2

Shimano M785 hubs x 2

I guess the front should all be one length and the rear maybe two different lengths but is there a fool proof way to work it out?

They don't have the 785 listed but do the 775 and it turns out the same result.
