Iv got my eye on a couple of bikes, same bike actually but different build kit.
Wondering if people have tried both the new Deore 12 speed and NX 12 speed and what their thoughts are in comparing the two.
I’m slightly drawn toward the Deore due to only using Shimano in the past, but keeping an open mind.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts and advice !
Cheers

If that’s the only differentiator between the bikes I’d probably lean towards the deore. I’ve seen a few snapped / baggy NX Eagle mechs - but tbf it’s too early to say if deore will get the same issues. I find my XT 12 speed a bit finicky - but maybe that’s a 12 speed thing in general. 11 speed (Sram GX) seemed easier to setup and keep running perfectly in my experience.

So many things can cause issues with either, they'll be pretty similar, my only finding over time is i feel shimano works a little better on 12 speed, but never used deore so can't really say if that's correct all the way through the range, i know SLX and XT work well, have tried NX and GX and had struggles with both.

Not tried either but will be going Deore on my next bike. Lower ratios are closer together, you don't have that big gap between 1st and 2nd gear. SX/NX has a different hub to the higher models so that's a cost/hassle if you ever want to upgrade.
