Hi All
Just had an interesting chat with a guy who is adamant that a bicycle is a vehicle and therefore not legally entitled to use a bridleway over common land, can anyone point me to a legal definition of a bicycle that I can use to silence this nitwit?
Ta.
what a bicycle is is irrelevant, Bikes are allowed on bridleways,
Countryside act 1968 section 30 i think.
Yep, that's it. It's nothing to do with 'vehicles' and everything to do with, specifically, bicycles.
Thanks for helping...it involves a well known Surrey riding spot...I want to nip this in the bud.
