Built up as a winter bike. Better late than never! Based on a gumtree '13 Bizango.

Suntour SP12 suspension seat post, "hard spring". I have a bad back and usually ride a fs.

S/hand recons, 120mm. Ok to be honest but I need more ramp up so going to try and fit some bodged tokens. From classifieds.

SS lower head set.

AB oval chain ring for my knees.

Nukeproof knock off Chinese plastic pedals.

New/takeoff NX cassette, shifter and mech. All from this parish.Feels just as good as my GX Eagle if I'm honest!

Original wheels, new bearings, hillbilly up front as an experiment.

Mudguards.... Lots of mudguards! I don't do brown butts there days. Ooer.

BX bar ends (only real men have these!) and BX bars. BX budget stuff is good imo.

Original Acera brakes or whatever they are, uberbike racematrix pads. Obvs. And... Some spare centerlines I had laying around. Not much modulation but they work ok.

Giant bar grips which I really like.

Feels very different to the Jeffsy of course on today's little shake down ride. Pic taken at shop on way to bridleways before battery went.

The Suntour SP12 thudbuster copy is really good! Needed for my back and it's plenty cheap compared to the TB. Heavy as hell though as it uses a real spring instead of elastomers. Adjustable preload too.

Hillbilly was good in the North Downs muck though I was hardly going at any speed.

Steering felt twitchy at first but soon got used to that and just dropped the seat down by hand on some of the descents. Now remember how nice bar ends can be sometimes too.

Forgot how much fun riding in the mud can be, not been out in an age!

Oh, couldn't line up the logos etc as the rims have their logos out of line. Did. My. Head. In.

Show me your unfashionable mud plugger. Mudguards mandatory of course!😁

I know. Lol

Forgot to put that in the spec!

Using slime tubes till/if I can be bothered to set it up tubeless.

I have recently become a big fan of mudguards.

As a random psa Halfords are doing some weird mix and match thing where if you trade in a helmet (yes really) you get 20 percent off a bike!

Some of the cheapy voodoo stuff like the Limba bizango etc plus Boardman and even the new Chinese Raleigh adventure bikes seem vgvfm as winter hacks at these prices

As for mudguards, yeah, so much nicer to go out for a "quick" ride if you know that you and the bike won't be completely clattered when you return. Gives a defence against dog eggs too.👍

This is just going to be left to dry after a quick spray over with a garden pump up sprayer thing.... Then left on a tarp to drip dry.

Good effort. However , you could have matched the maxxis logo to the rim and what about that white stain on the path ,between the rear wheel and the pedal.
Very shoddy.

Haha.
Great! Like it.
Love the mudhugger on my hardtails as well. (Have the Thudbuster LT ...)

What I fear: those bar ends and mountainbiking.
I try hard NOT to crash - but it happens. And don't know why - but think that those bar ends are able to do evil things when crashing...

Yes - great workhorse for the mud.
(and ...very fashionable: 1x drivetrain!)

Me thinks a home for my cracked HARDNUTZ i just can't seem to bin as not re-cycle friendly.
Replaced with a BELL "MIPS" now incidentally.

Nice looking bike apart from the rear cassette which looks like it weighs a kilo

Nah not (quite) a kilo. Glad the drivetrain went to a good home poop.

It was a safe for a day but my bad knee was really unhappy add the end of it unfortunately.

Yeah, thanks Rich. NX is an impressive groupo actually.
