I have a GPX file with embedded elevation data, but want to know whether anyone knows an online app that will let me input or select a start / end point and it will tell me the elevation gain/loss between those 2 points.

The reason I am after this is that I can then estimate my daily mileage. When bikepacking I always base my daily mileage on the elevation profile.

There is this one for the great divide mtb route. You drag the start / end points and it tells you elevation gain / loss on the left hand side. A really useful utility. Great Divide Elevation Analyser

Thanks

bikehike has a route planning thingy that shows elevation gain/loss. You can also upload an existing gpx to analyse it. Is that what you are after?

I can sort of use it. I can cut the route into segments and get an idea from that. Ta
