Could someone lend me a hand? I’m trying to decipher the geometry of this frame: HERE

it looks very modern, but the geometry looks a little weird. It’s listed as an XL, but I thought it might be better suited to a shorter rider, like me. Top tube length is around the same as the gt grade or cannondale synapse, 56cm. I emailed them and they confirmed that it’s for 1.8 - 2.0m. I’m a little shorter (1.78m) but think they’re over estimating the rider height. I’m no expert, by any means, so seeking the wisdom of th hive-mind!

I'm 1.89cm and ride a 61cm CAADX, the bike in your link would be too small for me really. The headtube is too short. I guess it'd work as a head down/arse up road bike but it wouldn't be the best off road.

It'd probably be ok for you. There's no mention of BB drop in there either. Doesn't make much difference in terms of fit, but it may not handle quite how you'd want.

I've added the Ridewill to our geometrygeeks site here

Hopefully that'll help you compare side by side with whatever you ride right now? (e.g. vs 58 Synapse)

My experience of the Grade is that it comes up big - long in the top tube. I’d size down on a Grade, so it may throw you if you’re using that as a comparator.

I'm 1.78m too and all my drop barred bikes have top tubes between 550 and 570, so I'd be happy with a frame of the size you mention ("XL") but my use would be predominantly on the road. You might want to size down one if you intend to use it off road more?

But you're right, it doesn't look like an "XL" size frame
