Struggling with heat + hills + lack of fitness and I need some specs that don’t steam up.
For running (ok jogging) and riding.

What do you recommend?

I'm a big fan of Tifosi glasses. They have a wide range of styles & lens options.

A pair of smith attack mtb glasses just came through the post. They sit off my face a little so imagine that equates to well vented. Lenses are great quality and the clear lens that came extra is a nice bonus. Got a pair of the melon riding glasses arriving next week hence I haven’t taken the smith ones out the house yet as one pair will be going back! Will report back

The Oakley Field Jacket...

Field Jacket Photochromic

Has a little lever on the bridge of the nose to lift away from your face to ventilate.

Thought it would be a gimmick, but it really works. They can mist a bit when you stop. But clear almost immediately once you are off again.

The lenses are excellent - perfect for dawn / dusk.

Downsides: cost (£170ish); look a bit weird on as they are massive.

The field of vision is excellent - because they are so massive I guess.

Don’t regret spending on them.

I tend to find vents don't work uphill as there's not enough air-flow - I have a pair of the Rad8 photochromics (504s I think) which have an anti-fog coating which does work really well.

My Oakley Jawbreakers dont mist up. They have cutouts at the top and bottom of the lens which seem to do the job
Oakley have a 20% sale on at the moment which could ease the pain of the cost

I was going to recommend oakley jawbreakers but they're probably a bit too big for running. Brilliant for mtb though. Only steam up a tiny bit if you stop for more than 30 seconds, and any tiny bit of airflow they clear. And they do a photochromic version.

I have jawbreakers and they work well on the mtb. Not sure I can rock the look while running (jogging).

My go to glasses are Adidas Evil eye half rim pro, tried oakleys and others but find these are the best for me, have never steamed up yet.

My Endurance Masai glasses are pretty good at staying clear and react very well/quickly to changing light conditions. Still get them on eBay!

I got some not Oakley Jawbreakers off ebay for £20. The lens change mechanism works really well and 'proper' Jawbreaker replacement lenses fit.

Rad8 MTB Glasses 502 or 506 are what you want - photochromic and anti-fog. I used the 506 all winter on commutes and MTB and never once had steaming up in all sorts of weather. The 506 sits a bit further from the face and has a slightly improved anti-fog coating so is the better performing of the two.

Have you tried using anti-fog on the glasses you've already got?
I got some cressi spray-on antifog, which works better than the home-baked ideas.

Are the Rad8 really OK? They look a bit man in a shed artisan. Can you have artisan sunglasses?

Tifosi are excellent value for money.

Fit is as important as venting, I'd say.

FWIW, I use Tifosi for gardening/eye protection. Oakley Radar EV on the bike!
