Hello I’m off to Tenby/Saunders foot area next week for a holiday and was wondering if there is any decent riding close by , or within an hours drive?
Thanks in advance cheers

Brechfa is good enough to drive a bit further to.

There is a new series of trails at Llys yr Fran reservoir. The red is very slippy in the wet.

Had a walk around Llys y Fran last week. From what bits of the trail I could see it looks like a fun ride, perhaps not mega challenging. The skills area looks good.

Might need to revise your 1hr radius. An hr on Welsh roads doesn’t get you as far as you may be used to.

Llys y fran offers fantastic views as you circle the lake, the red and blue trails that lead off are fairly short but good fun. The byrgwm car park would be nearest if you do go to brechfa.
Cwm rhaeadr is another 20 mls away but well worth a visit.

Apart from Llys y Fran and Brechfa the only other place I’d suggest is the woods at Stackpole.
If you look on a map you’ll see the lakes at Stackpole that drain out to sea at Broadhaven South beach. Just to the north of the lakes are two woods that have a small handmade set of little trails. I can ride them all on a loop in 45 mins or so but if you don’t know where your meeting going then you could probably spend a couple of hours in there.

Or head into the Preseli hills for some decent upland boggy moorland riding.
