my feet seem to have grown so rather than take my chances with online again and Shimano I thought I’d try the nearby Decathlon store - any opinions as to their quality?

I've no experince of their own brand shoes but Decathlon also stock Shimano shoes.

Shimano shoes tend to last forever (in my experience) so i've just picked up some ME5's from my local store in Stockport at weekend.  They were £59.99 compared to £95.99 everywhere else online!  Grab some whilst they're still there

Decathlon ones are narrow. Try them on.

Lovely shoes, but narrow. My wife has some and they're spot on, but I can't get my feet in them.

I've been commuting in some of their MTB shoes for the past 3 years ( 5 days a week, most of the year round, about 1-1.5hrs a day ) and they are still going, though the velcro strap is quite worn on them.

Had a pair for 3 years and they were great. Got another this year (same size) and they're awful. Very narrow and painful.
