Browsing the cycling section after click & collecting an item in my local store today, found out that they stock 11 spd chains with a missing link for £12.99,turns out that they're kmc,
Had to buy for that price,
Anyone used one?

No but I've used their missing links and they're just the normal KMC ones, but repackaged and cheap.

Their quick links have always been kmc ones, just much cheaper than actual kmc packaged ones.

Decathlon is a good source of chains, links and cables!

Yeh, Decathlon is possibly my favourite shop for most of my purchases these days, just great gear what ever sports your into for the prices/quality compared to other shops,I wouldn't of known unless the bike mech informed me that they have a deal with kmc, just nothing written on the packaging.

Decathlon is my Ikea

I go in for some missing links and bar tape, I come out with a three pack of socks, a frisbee-boomerang thing, a sponge football, some energy bars, and a set of resistance bands.

Good to know if I ever can't get a SRAM 11sp chain for under a tenner.

That's good to know. Decathlon is great for kids clothes and shoes too. But like mentioned above, I tend to come away with lots of bargains that I never went in for.

My mate just got a short travel carbon front triangle 29er for the same price as well.

No meatballs tho’. And you aren’t forced to walk all around the store. Well, you might have to with Covid restrictions at the mo!

I love decathlon, but there's always a danger you accidentally buy a bow and arrows or something.

Exactly that Northwind..I actually did(for my son of course)..same as tojv always come out with random stuff,3 yr old ended up wanting magnifying glass then compass, there is no end,go in for something for a tenner then £60 odd later..
Anyhoos seeing as your here I've managed to break chain too short (2 links)..yes I know, school boy error..can I get away with extra missing link?I've tried some pins I have as spares but I think they maybe for either 9/10 they slip thru, what's yr opinion?

Yeah, no worries, some of my chains probably have 3 or 4 quicklinks in

Pins are old school, don't use them. Use quick links. Chains aren't designed to be reconnected with pins anymore.

Decathlon is another store I'm boycotting after the lockdown. After closing their stores (not their fault) they removed their free shopping and started charging ludicrous amounts for it. £7 for a £20 skateboard anyone? Price gouging at its best

Like many above, I simply can’t be trusted in Decathlon. I basically can’t go in their and spend less than £50, and under £100 is a victory. Love the place.
Just found out the local Nike outlet have opened as well, so that’ll be another 3 pairs of trainers when I go visit.
