After 6 years of faithful service my Aldi gillet finally died when the zip broke..
For an outlay of £6 it has given me sterling service, it’s going to be missed 😥

You're lucky. The zip on mine lasted less than 6 rides.

Are you petite by any chance Graham? I have a small BNWT bought in error, (small gilet in bag marked L) which I never bothered taking back. Yours gratis if you want it, I've got too much pie-affinity for it to be use to me.

The zip on my Aldi waterproof finally gave up the ghost recently, after many years of very frequent use; the thing that most annoyed me was that any replacement was bound to be not as good and ten times as expensive!

The softshell has served me well over the last couple of super cold winters and hopefully shall continue to do so in the future...

Go to clothing repair shop. Say to lady 'make new zip please', then clothing like new for small money.

Wasn't made by RaceFace was it? As their zips seem to be made out of some sort of soft cheese.
