Hey guys
so im looking for new lights as im fed up of having to ride extra slow in the winter due to not seeing s**t...anyways ive been recommended deal extreme but there is so many options that I don't really know where to start?
im after something that's 1000 lumens+ with a fairly decent battery life that will cope with wet muddy mountain biking conditions.
cheers guys, LOVE YALL 😀

I have a set of these They are more of a spot than flood but still bright, battery pack needed a bit more waterproofing

The lights are ok, but customer service is poor. If they get the order right youll be ok. If I were to go again id pay a bit more from someone that has already imported the same stuff.

Got one of these today off ebay and for 27 quid they're super bright. More than enough on low but how long they'll last I don't know

I'll second the Solar Storm X2's. Got a set from a UK seller on eBay for £26 with free postage.

Used them the last two nights, and very pleased with them. Nice and bright and good battery life.

See this thread and the light Im getting towards the bottom of page two.
You only need a small light with 2x XM-L leds, the other lights with more than that wouldn't be able to drive the leds properly before melting, so its pointless getting more unless its a much bigger housing.

When you get a cheap crappy light, you can get a replacement battery pack from Smudge if you want or when the other one dies!

Will probably end up getting a better battery as the sealing on mine looks a bit useless to say the least. A bit of thin black plastic wrapped round with exposed card on the end. I'll have to call at screwfix tomorrow for some self amalgamating tape and wrap it up well in that. Will see how I get on.

£50 is expensive for a battery!
Acrually, would be cheaper to get 2 sets of them singles for half the price and bond em together 💡

I have two sets of solarstorm and the batteries aren't as bad as everyone is making out anyway! 🙄

So u would buy another battery just because of the sealing!!! 🙄

Never heard of silicone sealant ❓

Erm. If they are only going to last a few wet rides then yes. But if you say they are better than every one is say then great.

Yep. Just thought the tape would do a better job for electricals.
