Morning..

This might sound like a strange question, but i am certain i heard somebody say, that at the World Cyclo-Cyclo cross races, they put De-Icer on the gears, to stop them freezing during the race.

Personally i thought De-Icer was horrid stuff, and wouldn't put it anywhere near the bike. But if it can be used it sounds like a good idea.

Anybody got any opinions?

Yeah, but that's the worlds isn't it? If you're racing at that level surely any strip down required afterwards to stop any nasty stuff happening to the components would be smallfry compared to preventing your drivetrain from freezing?
