You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My trusty DaKine Nomad has finally disintegrated after a good decade of use, as such I'm after a new day bag for use on the bike. I'm quite happy carrying a rucksack and usually end up filling it with all manner of odds and ends.
Looking for something about 12-15l that I can use wen I'm out with the Proto-MrsO_H_H. I'll generally be doing the carrying so 2-3l hydration pack, space for 2 lightweight jackets and an assortment of tools and food.
Ideally something with a couple of big pockets and a series of small pockets for small items like inhalers, contacts and if possible a sunglasses pocket.
I don't want much do I?!
Actually I do - I also want a reasonably all in one multi tool to put in it (doesn't have to have a chai tool as I have bad experiences with integrated ones and carry a separate one.
Any recomendations?
Cheers
Osprey do good packs (Raptor, Raven), or I've a Camelback (Mule I think) which is sturdier/heavier and has lots of pockets, comes with a bladder.
Tools - Lezyne are always good.
DaKine Amp backpack. Comes in a few sizes. 12 and an 18. I've got an 18 which does exactly what your description asks.
Topeak Ratchet Rocket. With or without chaintool. Or the standard answer is a Topeak Hexus 2.
In time honoured fashion, Osprey Zealot, as I have one.
Thanks for the recommendations, especially you Bigblackshed, that's exactly what I was looking for but without knowing which model to look for there are so many DaKine bags!
